Hello family and friends! Welcome to the start of our family blog. As you can tell by the sweet photo above, we found out the gender of our sweet baby girl! Before I begin, I’d like to note that as of today, June 15th, 2020, I am officially 20 weeks. I’m half-way there!
Now, a little background on how we found out the gender. Due to Covid-19, Justin is not allowed to come to my appointments with me. It has been a bummer to say the least. Our Anatomy Scan was coming up and I knew he was not going to be able to find out the gender with me. I did some research and found an ultrasound office that does 2D, 3D, 4D ultrasound. I called and asked if my husband could come with me. To my surprise, she said yes — as long as you both wear a mask. I was so incredibly relieved and excited.
By this time, I was about 18 weeks so I knew there was a 90% chance we would know the gender by then. It was such a special moment! Not only did we find out the gender together, we got to see our precious little girl in 3D.
I’ve been craving lots, and lots of fruits! The only fruit I’ve despised are tomatoes. Yes, tomatoes. Baby girl is not a fan of pizza, salsa, and ketchup. I’ve been able to eat diced tomatoes on my Chipotle bowl or fish tacos. Other than that, no tomatoes for me! For Justin however, he can have all the pizza, ketchup, and salsa all he wants!
Baby’s health is great! She is 11oz and is thriving and moving around like crazy. I felt her moving at about 16ish weeks. I cannot explain the feeling other than it feels like light tapping. There was a time where a jab (arm or leg?) stopped me at my tracks!
Shopping for baby hasn’t been easy. For a while, we weren’t able to look at items in person. For the past 3 weeks or so, we were able to go to Buy Buy Baby, Target, and small boutiques around the OC. We have some stuff, but not too much just yet — which is just perfect!
